Welcome to the Dopamine Art Lab — art for the "non-artist."
Heavy air quotes. We believe anyone who's ever put pen to paper, scissors to magazine, or crayon to coloring book is an artist — but we also know firsthand how imposter syndrome loves to argue otherwise.
A Little About Us
So here we are: two women who wanted time and space to create for the sheer joy of it, without pressure or pretense. We also wanted somewhere to put all our art shit that wasn't our living rooms. That modest dream has grown into something bigger — a community where creators of every kind, every level, and every background can find their people, make some messes together, and remind each other that making things is worth doing. No resume required. No experience necessary. Just show up.
What We Offer
We're just getting started, so be cool. Free, regularly scheduled art labs where the whole point is showing up and being in the room together. Total beginner? Perfect. Seasoned maker looking for company? Also perfect. Bring your own project, raid our supplies, or just see what happens when you sit down next to a stranger who's also figuring it out. We have prompts, occasional guest hosts teaching skills, and zero judgment if you spend the whole time doodling. We love doodling!
What's Coming
We're building something for our local creative community — workshops, material deep-dives, collaborative projects, open studio time, equipment rentals, a supply thrift store, and shared community studio space. But the best communities are built by the people in them, so we want to know what you actually need. Take our short survey and tell us.
